Do You Feel Like Quitting Your Job? Here's What You Can Do!

Have you ever stopped and asked yourself, why you chose the job you go to every day? is it passion? is it that you truly deep down believe in it? or believe in the purpose it serves?

Maybe not!

We might choose the jobs we do every day because that is what was available for us when we graduated from college with a GPA of 2 out of 5. Or because our parents had a vision for us to be dentists or surgeons or engineers. Or because of the company name and the prestige, it adds to our CV, and the pride it adds to the conversations we have when we meet new people and make sure we get the opportunity of mentioning that we work for X company, just to prove something!

But what is it we are trying to prove?

Are we trying to prove that we are right? or simply asking for validation from he outside to make us feel better about where we are? what is it, really?

Well, this is what I want you to do, because this is what I did, stop and ask yourself:

If I have one chance in life, is this what I want to be doing for the next 30 or 40 years?

And then wait, not for the answer, but for the feeling that this question will bring you; because this feeling is your red flag to a whole new dimension of life.

Okay, wait a minute, I know by now you'll be like this is all a philosophy and it's easier said than done, but hey... it still can be done! I'm not telling you to quit your job and just go travel the world until you're all broke and most probably will end up looking for the same job you had before, because it's the safest option for you to make the money you need.

I'm just saying, give more time to your true- self and true interests because that is what will bring joy into your life. Read more, take cooking classes, photography classes, yoga classes, whatever bring as little as 10% more joy in your day to day life.

I've read a saying once and it goes something like this:

"We spend more time planning our vacations than actually planning our life"

If that says anything, it says that we spend our everyday lives planning an escape to recharge our battery in order to be able to keep up with the stress of living.

So sit back, enjoy life, spend more time with your loved ones and do more of what brings you more happiness and joy, because by the end of the day that is exactly what life is all about!
